Moly Resin Refinshing, Without Sandblasting?

Can it be done without sandblasting? Or with handsanding instead? I don't have the sandblasting equiptment so I am looking for alternatives.

It can be done without blasting, but blasting does increase durability quite a bit.

Hand sanding is not a good idea because you get straight lines and in most cases, makes the surface smoother. With basting you can a straight singular impact.

Which you could put the parts in say a bucket of sand and shake it... or uses a tumbler.

over parkerizing or annodizing i did not sand blast and it came out great, also withstands the abuse.

Yeah I did an AR-10 over the original annodizing it worked really well. But I am refinishing a all of the steel parts of a mauser. I was going to have the parts blued, but somehow they came out brownish (plum) instead of blue. So I was thinking of using the new Moly Resin Glossy Black instead of blueing them, but I don't really have access to sandblasting equiptment.

Parkerizing and anodizing are the best surfaces to go over. There is no need to blast them.

On the Mauser, I would find someone with a baster and hit it with some sand. If you want to blue it, use beads.

Ok.... I actually tried to get it blued already. It turned out brown, so I figured I would throw the new glossy moly resin on it. I'm not actually sure why it turned brown, but it isn't very nice looking. Anyone in the DC Metro Area have a blaster I can use?
