Hey all - dont visit this forum much, as I'm putting my first scope on an AR.

What would you recommend me zero'ing my rifle with the millet DMS-1 on an RRA hi rise mount?  16" M4 profile.

I'll be using it mostly for varmit hunting, plinking, etc.  I was gonna just take it to the range and do a 50yd zero, but maybe someone here has some better advice.  I'm sure the rifle's purpose has a lot to do with it.

I generally zero my .223's to 100yd and my .308's to 200yd...

since it doesn't have a bdc or target turrets i would do it at 50yd, pretty much most any .223/5.56 round will get you torso shots out to 250 by aiming at the top of the chest.

all my .223 are sighted in at 50 yds.
+ or minus 2.25-2.5 in the line of sight for
point blank to 225-250 yds.

I'm a fan of the 50 yd zero myself.
