Just exactly how badly have these things been in short supply?

I really don't need to go ordering a conversion kit and spare mag right now but if it's looking like it will be another 6-10 months till they come around in any numbers again I may just get one.

I just ordered one.  I have been waiting and with the discount it was too good to pass up.  Nobody has ever know midway to process an order then run out, right?  I'm paranoid cause I've really been wanting this kit.

Order one anyway. The only difference is the sear trip and anti bounce weight, pick them up somewhere else.

I've been waiting for Brownell's to get them back in stock for at least 6 months.  So much for that!  Now mine's on the way.

Kuhl's site showed them in stock last time I looked.

Thanks! I ordered one. Shame too, I used own two of these kits. I sold them a few years ago after college thinking I wouldn't need to shoot cheap any more. Now I just need to score a couple Black Dog mags.

If you want a kit, I would advise you to buy one now.

Just an FYI for when these run out, I saw some in the latest CTD catalog as well...A real bargain at $169 IIRC.

Man, I must have got the last one, I ordered it yesterday, and it looks like it will be here today.

Sorry guys.

Got mine today and tried it with 2 different ARs.  Put about 100 rounds with only one misfire related to the ammo.  Tried the same round 3 times and it wouldn't go off.   Now I got to save up to get some of those new Blackdogmachine mags.

It seemed to shoot to the same point of aim at 25 yards.  That was pretty cool.

BBT brought me a LBT with my kit in it yesterday... tried it ouit before dar,  30 rounds with no problems..    looking forward to shooting it more over the weekend.  Looks like an excellent investment  with the increase in ammo prices.

Got my kit Thursday, and finally got to try it out today.
Shot only 30 rounds, as I was in a hurry, but functioned fine.
Had one shell that did not eject fully, caused a misfeed, but I think it was my fault.
Maybe had the rifle at an odd angle, anyway, will try it later next week.
Just glad I got in on this deal!!!!!

I got mine today and already tried it out. I used the Armalite 16" Thanksgiving Sale upper that came in Friday.

Shot good, perhaps 150 rounds.

My only issue is that sometimes the hammer won't be cocked after the first shot of the magazine. I figured out that if I only loaded 8 rounds it would cock the hammer every time on the first shot.

I got mine and installed it in my Bushmaster.  Two things that weren't covered in the instructions:

1) Is it supposed to not lock open on an empty magazine?  The bolt hold-open switch no longer does anything.

2) Is the charging handle not supposed to go all the way back?  It doesn't now.  I can only pull it out about halfway.  This does open the conversion's bolt all the way, so apparently that's how it works, but it seems odd.

yes there is no bolt hold open available with this kit and yes the charging handle only goes about halfway.
