Gentlemen,
Of the mid price 300 blk barrels available at this time, cmmg, stoner-mid weight and light weight, which are preferred?
There are probably others I'm not aware of. Please give input.
Thanks
John

Check Rainier Arms...also Surplus Arms and Ammo. What length are you looking to build? 300 is great for short barrels.

Thee people have 7.5 to 16 inches. I have an 8 in and was very happy with the price & fast shipping.

I had the sota arms barrel for 129 which is the same as the SSA one.

I also had a Rainier 225 a Wilson combat for 250 and Daniel defense for 269.

All been good barrels of course a noveske, or shilen will run you over 300

Earlier in the year when you couldn't find anything, my friend and I got lucky with a 10.5" and 16" AR-stoner from Midway. We couldn't be happier. He thinks his 16" is the sh!t. My 10.5" is great but got very little use because I was waiting so long for tax stamp. I went and bought a 16" Wilson Combat for my second 300 build a few weeks ago from Brownells during their 10% off sale so I could finally use a 300 as a rifle. Of course a week after I bought the thing, I got the tax stamp.

In terms of looks, the Wilson beats the others by far. The rifling is so clean and sharp (compared to AR-stoner). Unfortunately, I haven't taken it out yet so I can't compare the performance. But I have high expectations.

In terms of what I know, the AR-stoner is a great price for a known performer.
