Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mid length & heat ?

How many of ya all have the mid-length hand guards & how do you like 'em ? I was told that the "carbine" style are to be promp[ly replaced w/ m4's 'cause the heat is too much w/ sustained fire. Does the mid-length get a little warm ? Would you get them again ?

I have three or four mid-length weapons and they don't heat any differently then any other weapon.

Personally I don't like the short handguards as there's just not enough handguard to make a good grip for me. I also don't like the fat M-4 handguards.
