I took some of these to the range today withe the following results:
100 yd; -5.25 min elev, 0.5 min wind - 1 inch, 6 shot group
300 yd zero; 2.75 inch groups
400 yd; 3.5 min elev, 1.5 min wind - 4 inch groups
500 yd; 6 min elev, 1.5 min wind - 7 inch groups
600 yd; 11.5 min elev, 1.5 min wind 8.25 inch groups
16" non-chrome lined barrel, 9-12mph wind from 3 o'clock. This rifle will produce sub MOA groups at 500yds with handloads, and 6" groups at 500 with bargain bin PMC FMJ
My conclusion: Accuracy was slightly disappointing, but did much better at 600 than lighter loads, and overall was as good as most bargain loads. this box was $23.00 + tax. I suspect that the only thing "Match" about this ammo is the projectile. The loaded cartridges varied in weight from 191.4 - 193.8. As of this writing, I have not separated any to determine the variance of the individual components. I have not created any handloads for 5.56, with projectiles this heavy, but I guess now I will have to. I'm not sure why, I just like to see how far out we can stay SubMOA, and with loads up to 63gr, it has been hard to get beyond 550. I am quite certain that cheap gun and amateur shooter are much of the problem, but that is all part of the challenge.
Sorry, chrony died... I am ashamed.
