To the group --

If I purchase a lower I can then buy a kit from Model 1 or another supplier and then go from there.

What happens if I already have my matched Upper and Lower -- say from MEGA and I want to build from there --- do I have to get all parts piece by piece price or can someone recommend a Kit -- minus a upper receiver...

Just keep the extra upper as a spare, you don't post much do ya?
