I know, it is probably a stupid question, but it seems the gas block is the same height as the rail - flat top - on the upper receiver.

So go with the standard height flip up front sight or a shorty?

I am thinking a standard anyway......

I think you need a gas block front sight. I free floated my mp10 with a low profile gas block so I'm not completely sure.
