I have yet to get home with them to throw some CLP on them, but they are really gray. I really don't see these ever matching anything. Besides that they look amazing and seem to be in spec. I guess I will see when I get some LPK's for them.

Is it like an ashy dry looking grey?  If so you will be amazed with how dark they get with some clp.

Yes a ashy dry look. I will be heading home soon so I will give it a try.

Just send it to Tom once you cut it up. He uses the cut up lowers as parts in the mosaic center floor piece at the Spikes office.

All of the lowers I have used were gray looking (different brands). A little rub makes a world of difference.

If you aren't happy with them then why did you accept the transfer?

Rub it with oil and see what happens.  I'd just go ahead and use it.  Given time and use, it will all start to turn the same color.

Make a retro AR out of it.

CLP did make a huge difference and it looks normal now. I have gotten several different brand lowers/uppers and they have never looked like that.

I accepted the transfer because the machining looks top notch and I was going to use them if they were gray or not.
