I Have a Magpul PRS and have had my sling attatched to the forward sling loop on the stock. I felt that the short section of the sling was always in the way so I ordered an ACS QD Socket and did this.
I did use a Dremil to shorten the screw that came with the socket 
Added some washers to get the correct depth 
Added a little epoxy for extra stength 
rand a bead of black silicone to fill in the gaps and wiped it off 
Other side, the screw that holds it in
