Anyone know this?  Firsthand experience or hearsay?

I am not sure about a mod free installation but I have a mildly modded MOE on my Adams kit.  If you already have the guard this obviously isn't for you but if you are going to order one, just get the modded one from Core 15.  Mine has worked perfectly.

Yeah the new MOE hand-guards that MagPul is releasing should fit pistons now.

I run one with my Osprey no mod needed,  Well if you call bending the heat shield a tad a mod or not.  If not then no mod needed runs great.

I just trimmed off some of the heatshield  to run it with my osprey, I didn't want it rubbing at all and wanted the gasses to have somewhere to go instead of being trapped in the handguards

I just modded my MOE handguards for a CMMG piston upper. Good to hear they are fielding a set that will clear these systems.

I am running the new midlength MOE with an Adams Arms kit and it fit perfectly and looks awesome.

? I'm confused. Do you want to limited yourself to a particular piston kit because you don't want to modify the handguards?

I just ordered a set of MOE handguards from Brownell's. I plan on putting them on a Adams Arms converted carbine. It sports a M4 profile barrel  and a set of DD Omega rails. It's heavier up front than my Osprey converted carbine with a Gov't profile barrel, and MI rails.

If it works you folks will be seeing some lightly used rail systems in the EE.
