I am thinking about picking up some cheap 20rd magazines but they are partially painted blue. These are of original Colt manufacture. I was wondering if anyone knew how the magazine finish would take a paint thinner.

How cheap are they?
You can get new ones for less than $10 ea with better followers and better springs
Just something worth considering

If you dont like the finish, Krylon works well

Yep, my C Products aluminum 30rd mags work great.  I'd buy them again.  Friend of mine got some 20rd mags and they work good too, however, they are curved like the 30rd ones while the original Colt 20rd mags were straight.

I have some c products 30 rnd mags with the magpul gen 2 followers and they work great.  I also have some d&h 30 rnd with the orange magpul gen 2 followers and they work great as well.  I wouldn't buy new mags without the magpul gen 2 followers in them.
