Where can I find replacement mil-spec mag bodies for my pre-ban 20 and 30 rnd mags?

You know it is kinda weird why you can't buy them. I thought mag repair bodies were ok as long as it is for repair/replacement of an existing damaged mag. I have heard of some ipsc shooters using these as repair parts for SVI, Para, and STI high caps. Why not for High cap AR mags or even 30 round ciener .22 mags, etc.?

It is my understanding that the equipment used to manufacture M16 mags was shipped from contractor to contractor. It was probably fairly proprietary in nature and very specific to the task. Look at the steel copies out there, nothing comes close to being like the original. Just a theory... Bob

Lets just say you got some LEO mags could you take them apart and use them as repair parts. I have not done this or condone doing this but would this be with in the law as long as you not making new mags.

By the time you explained that scenario, your house would be burnt and your family would already be killed. You might eventually be cleared though!
