The more I use this stock, the more I like it!   So how's it working out for you?

I like my A1 better

Had an A2 and swapped it out for the PRS.  I love the thing.  I've had the opportunity to try it out with several optics (at present, I have an EOTech 553), but the adjustable comb height and length of pull are well designed and comfortable.

Nice looking rifle you've got there.  Cheers!

Just what's the rail on the bottom for?

I love mine. Great feel, good weight, and the adjustments have such a great solid feel. We are still talking about the stock right

.

The rail on the bottom is for a Mono-pod.  I've tried adding lights or VFG (or VRG?), but those didn't work out too well.

I have had mine for a little over a year now and I love it the more I use it.  On a precesion rifle, it adds necessary weight and good balance to the rear.  It looks like Magpul did something right!

The only thing I don't like about it is you can't mount a QD sling adapter to it.  I mentioned that to MagPul back when the stock was in development.  Their reply was they would work on an adapter.  With their other projects, though, I imagine it might be some time before an adapter were to appear.  A shame, really, because I found another company that could make the adapter, but would need to be able to market 1000 to make the effort viable.

for lack of a QD sling loop couldnt you rig a QD sling using a Wolf Hook on the PRS sling loop?

That's about the only fault I've found with the stock also.

It could be lighter, too...

But obviously is one of the best when you use irons and different scopes & holos.

I actually like the extra weight of the PRS.  It gives a nicer balance to uppers with heavier barrels.

FAR to heavy.  maybe if they skeletonize it....  it certainly is solid as hell and stable as hell, and I guess that's what you want in a precision rifle, but IMO, this is Crew Served weight.

Also, everyone seems to gloss over that the cheekpiece is not good for much.  Maybe I'm an extreme nose to charging handle type, but you realyl ahve to crane the neck back to use the cheekpiece.

I think if they skeletonize it and then pop on a longer cheekpiece for use with a sidecharging upper, I'd be happier.

for now, I have one for sale on the EE.

If it's fixed, it's vltor.

I love mine has do many others.

Its on a heavy barreled rifle so it balances perfectly.

BTW, Accu-Shot now has their monopod for the PRS available.

... after reading this thread today, just to make sure... I fell asleep on one of my my VLTOR A1's cheekrest. It's that comfortable.

.....then I robbed a group of Royal Marines with the PRS cheekrest.  It's that sharp.

Next I gotta find out what Zak Smith put on his - it looks like neopreane.  GREAT idea.
