Just purchased a Bushie M-4 upper for a friends pre-ban Colt. I took the handguards off to check out the double liners. I guess on a full-auto , the double liners would be helpful, but on a semi, it seems they are just unnecessary and would hold in more heat than the standard guards. I have 2 shortys that have only the standard single liners, and they were fine, even going through T/Ranch's Urban Rifle course with lots of extended shooting. Am I missing something here?
