SHAMELESS PLUG BUT I LOVE THESE THINGS AND YOU SHOULD HAVE SOME
MAGPUL'S NEW ANTI-TILT FOLLOWERS, THESE SUCKERS KICK ASS!!!   Without a doubt these followers will add the missing level of reliablility to all 30 round M16 magazines. We tested these on full auto with magazines that we thought were totally worn out, and guess what?, They functioned perfectly. There are the cheapest improvement you can make in reliability of your rifle. We tried and these suckers just don't tilt.  We all hate changing followers with all the tilting and pushing etc. Here is the good news. These drop right in. Just remove the floor plate and the spring and old follower. Attach your mag spring to the new Magpul Follower and push it straight up, no tilting or cussin'. Replace the floor plate and done. You will then have the most reliable mag possible. Industry Partners can advertise on Forums.
Anyway there have been several threads on these followers and how well they work. Thought some folks who do not frequent the EE would like to know they are available and where. I do not post many 'ads' in the forums, even though I am allowed to out of respect of members. This is not some high dollar product, but it is the biggest improvement I have seen in terms of reliability for the AR magazine in years. No flame. Denny

Do these followers still require a mag to be downloaded to 28 to allow insertion when the bolt is closed?

The followers never required it, it's the ranger plates. I've got several mags loaded w/ them, and have no problems at all. -Cap'n |
