An M4gery is a Civi AR Duded out to resemble the current military issue M4 Carbine . Currently going out of style, the SIR / PHISH whatever seems to be the current fad now... [uzi][whacko][sniper]

It's actually M4gery, not grey ... it's basically combining M4 and forgery

I don't know how the name "M4gery" started, but I don't call them that.....I call them M4 wannabes.

An M4 is the military designation for the carbine. RAS, SIR, or whatever forend you put on it does not change the fact it is an M4, or an M4gery for that matter!

M4gery,a semi auto copy of Military Carbine #4 a continuation of the militarys designation of carbines starting with M1,M2,M3,and now after 30 years M4,and M4A1 wich is the sopmod rifle and the only one to use the fancy foreends, regular M4s are still in service with self propelled artillery crews, tankers, helicopter crews and any other unit that needs a smaller weapon but dosent need the CQB goodies and etachable carry handle the spec ops guys use.
