My local PD SRT have 4 DPMS M-4's for duty use.  Two of these rifles, after 30-40 rounds of burst fire with Q3131A tend to fail to extract/eject.  After cooling, they fire fine for 30/40 more rounds.  Their duty ammo (Winchester 55 HP) causes no problem for any of the 4 rifles.  Is this more likely an ammo problen or a chamber/heat problem?  Thanks, TM

could be the hollow points getting caught up on the feed ramp

No, he said the Q3131A has problems, not the 55gr HP.

Aren't DPMS chambers .223 instead of 5.56?

I dunno on their select-fire variants.  Troy will be along shortly to let me know [:)]

Sounds like a rifle problem to me.  I'd talk with Tweak in the Troubleshooting forum.  He is good at diagnosing and fixing these kind of problems.

(BTW don't be surprised when he says you should have bought Colts...).

Sounds like a DPMS non-spec chamber.....

Sounds like 5.56mm in .223 chamber, and hotter loads being used.
