Can someone explain the differences to me? All I know is that the A1 is longer, which I assume is to aid in feeding? Other than that I have no idea.

I think the length thing has to do with feeding issues in some weapons-perhaps the M4. I know that the change in 7.62mm blanks was made because the long second neck in old blanks didn't work in much more than the M60, while star-crimped, slightly elongated cases worked in everything else.

Actually, I have not heard of the M200A1 model of the GI issue Blank, must be a recent change. Perhaps to overcome some issues with firing linked Blanks in the M249 SAW..Just a guess on my part. Time to Google

It looks like the M200A is designed to work in H&K weapons that might not like the M200.

One reason I ask is because sportsman's guide says they're selling M200, but pictured is M200A1

It shouldn't matter. Either type should work in any AR.
