I am trying to think of the guy that has all of the models of M16s in one collection. I want to say it is Knights Reed or something like that, but Google Image search doesn't have any results.

Can anyone help me unboggle my mind? Anyone have a link to pictures of the collection?
Thanks

Reed Knight I believe. The photos I've seen posted here say photo by SMGLee.
I'm sure someone here has them.

Couldn't find SMGLee's post on the archive server...must be more than a year old.

You're going to have some catching up to do to keep pace with me. I'm sitting at about 14k pictures on my hard-drive right now. I must admit they are not all AR pictures.

what is that device on the front of that rifle??

It is a Brunswick RAW [Rifleman's Assault Weapon]. A 140mm projectile with 1.27kg charge of explosive. From another source: "Tests prove that it can blow a hole 30 cm across in 20 cm-thick reinforced concrete." Trialed in the late 70's and early 80's. Some sources said it was adopted by the USMC, but I'm uncertain of that.

I know that every gun in those pictures was built to fit a purpose but, every time I see some of those guns I have to think "WHAT THE F&*K WERE THEY THINKING." Some of them look like something one of us would build out of spare parts.

Colt has a long and storied history of basically doing just that. There are a lot of "transitional" subvariations because it seems they just fabricated portions of productions runs following the "lets use these parts, otherwise they're just sitting here" mentality.

What is the scope I see on several rifles in the eighth picture - the one with no adjustment turrets showing?
