As low as you want to go.
You will not get enough speed out of an AR to "over rpm" most bullets. |

varmint bullets with very thin jackets at high velocity may not stay together with the fast twist barrel. I think lighter bullets with normal jackets are fine.

you wont have accuracy if the bullet doesnt make it to the target and if it does it will pepper it.
i have shot 55gr with no problems |

That's good to know. I just finished a build with one of Denny's recon barrels and haven't shot it yet, but I was wondering if I was gonna be stuck using the heavier bullets. |
