Where's the best place to buy a lower? The last time I purchased a complete lower they were on sale from ameetec at $200. Now it looks like everything is $250 or above. So where can I get the best deal on a complete lower? Brands I am looking for are DPMS, LMT, RRA, Noveske, CMMG, Stag etc...

Price range would likely be no more than $275 so please point me in the right direction.

Thanks...

Have you tried building a lower? I did my first stripped lower + LPK and saved about $100, and its really really easy.

No I haven't tried yet. I was thinking about it but didn't know for sure if I am that mechanical or not. I am really open to doing it myself so that is also an option.

I have two other complete AR's already so I could always use them as a guide.

I've bought a couple complete LMT lowers from Dynamic armament without any issues. They gave me a good LEO discount as well if that applies to you.

Well, Del-Ton has complete lowers for $225 and PKFirearms has some DPMS lowers for $250.  Probably about as cheap as you're gonna get these days...

ETA:  I really don't think you save that much from building your own lower.

Lower= $100-$120
Lower Parts Kit $60-$70
Then you'd still need an extension tube, a buffer, and a stock!!

It's cool to build your own lower, but you might:

1) launch a springy part into oblivion, never to be seen again (and you have to wait while you order a replacement)

or

2) Ding up/scratch/break your lower in the building process.....

Or so I hear......hahhh.

So although it's nice to have that understanding of how it all goes together, it's not all that much cheaper IMO.
