Finally had a chance to get my precision AR setup into full gear.  Mounted a Leupold 6.5-20x50 LR scope on my Krieger-barrelled FA Predator upper and went to town.

A friend of mine recommended that I try Leupold's Target Dot reticle and boy was he right!  I've got other scopes with various BDCs and Mil Dots but this one is fantastic when shooting known ranges.  The reticle is basically barely visible x-hairs for anti-canting purposes and a 1/8th MOA black dot.  Just dial in the drop, put the dot on and OUCH, that had to hurt!

Better yet when dealing with .223 out to an appreciable max range of say 500 yds the dot just covers a little more than 1/2 an inch.  At 100 yds I was targetting rounds inside my round target markup stickers.  And the dot is certainly easier to pick up than super fine x-hairs, that's for sure.  Check em out!
