How loose should it be? mine will almost fall out when i turn my acrrier sideways.

Your firing pin retaining pin (cotter pin) should not come close to falling out if you have the carrier out playing with it and throwing it around the house.  It should stay in unless you pull on it.  You need to replace the pin ASAP.

replace it, somethings not right. I generally have to use a bullet tip to start mine so i can grab it. A whack against my hand just does not work.
