So they can just fall straight through.  How can I fix it?  (I know the KNS kit is one solution).

Yeah I know.  I just thought they were supposed to be tighter than this.  These are much looser than either of my other two ARs were. Either that I think i'll just stick with the KNS pins I cut down to fit.

Unsure... my guess... between .156 and .157... The KNS pin kit will hold them fine, with no rattle, but I wasn't sure if that is a reasonable fix...

Make sure that the springs are properly placed.  If they are placed well then the diameter of the pins should be of no consequence.  If the small diameter is just annoying you, perhaps you can obtain some of the oversized RRA pins.

Pins are .1555.... though, no... I don't have calipers.
