I'll be getting my first AR in a few weeks.

It is a RRA Elite CAR A4. I want to get a soft carrying case for it that will hold it with an EOTech mounted to it and also carry mags and other accessories.

Can you please offer suggestions as to what a good case that fits this criteria would be? I've also seen several cases, but don't know what size to order.

Thanks in advance.

The Tac Force are indeed a great value and put together surprisingly well.

AKConcepts:

OK, I'm flummoxed. I went with the link and really liked what I saw (although would like to see the interior of the particular case I'm interested in and know where it's made), and then I went looking for pricing - nada. Went to their "Where to buy" and checked out RSR's site as well - same story. Really would like to know how much? Am I just dumb or is there no pricing shown? (I know, Iknow....probably "A" - doh!)

Adios,

Pizza Bob

I have two Eagle "Discreet" cases and am very hapy. Quality is top notch. My only slight gripe is that the integral mag pouches are inside the rifle compartment.  IIRC the blackhawk knockoff has the pouches in the our sleeve portion of the case(not against the rifle)

If you are in the DFW area, there is always a guy who comes to the FW gun shows who makes his own bags.  He makes them in black, green, and tan, and a couple other colors from time to time, but he's really reasonable on prices, they have good padding and options, and the price is usually under $50.

I also have a Galati case that is good too, but I got it in a trade deal and didn't pay the 120 or so they usually advertise for,

best of luck...

I-Shot SERT cases are the best soft cases IMO. They are a bit pricey but are worth every penny.

I prefer the Eagle Discreet Case, LE.  The difference between this and the regular Discreet Case:

1. No tie downs in the main weapon compartment.
2. Mag pouches relocated to the outboard accessory storage pouch.
3. Slightly longer

i-SHOT
This is the 30", but they make them in a variety of lengths, you'd probably want the 36".

These are a mixture of Eagle and Blackhawk mag pouches, and Blackhawk Utility pouches.
The i-SHOT 3 mag pouches are excellent also, Helmie sent me one (not pictured) that matches my OD case perfectly.

Are the Tac Force cases US made?

No, they are China made, as most of the slings, pouches, etc are.

The funny part is that some China / Vietnam stuff is priced as much as an American made stuff.....

I have the BHI case right now. i-shot wasn't out when Ipicked these up. However, I plan to replace my BHI ones with the i-shot ones.

Thanks for the great advice everyone. I guess I'll need to measure the rifle to determine what size I'll need.

I thought that this would be easy. It looks like this decision will be harder than I thought.

It's not a hard decision at all, I wouldn't put this rifle in any soft case but the i-SHOT.

If you get the ISHOT I would suggest the OD or the Kahki over the black. The black looks purple however it may look nice with a Bushmaster.

I've had my Galati case for years and has held up very well. Holds 6 mags plus a seperate pouch for other stuff.

The Tacforce case looks like what I'm really wanting, a case to hold an AR in 2 pieces, but I want some shoulder straps too.  Militarymorons.com shows a Reccegear case (I know, I know) that is cool as hell but they aren't made anymore/made by a loser.

Any suggestions for a case like that?
Thanks
Brad
