hey please dont flame me on this one please ! i have repr too on top is Nikon slugger scope 3x9 its base line cross hair zero is 50yds -225 yards and rest works out to 700 yds without any trouble ...please take a look at it ...

No one should flame, I currently have a NF 2.5x10x24 on my 18"REPR, but I have used Nikon scopes and love them, bright and clear, It will get the job done! also look into a Leupold VXIII 1.5x5, they work great also and you can find one used folr about $400.00

For 200-300 yards, the Trijicon TA11C with the 7.62 BAC is tough to beat in my humble opinion. Yes, its spendy but they flat out work and are as durable as an optic gets.

I'm planning on running mine out a bit farther than that, when I've finished the move to LV, and am planning on getting a Horus Vision Hawk 3-12x50mm.
