Spikes 16" midlength upper, Palmetto lower.
.223/5.56 mostly target shooting, 200yds is the longest local range I'm aware of.
I'm looking at the Vortex Viper 2-7x32, and the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40. Also Luepold Vari-X in 2-7 or 3-9.
I'm on a budget, no more than $200.
Opinions, suggestions? (I know, bigger budget, not happening! )

I have a Burris Fullfield II and have had no issues. Its not a bad scope for the $$$.

200yds max, 1-4x would be sufficient. I can hold as close to moa as my rifle is capable of with the garbage I feed it (pmc, federal bulk pack, fed xm193). I get consistent 3-5" groups at 200 from an M4 barrel.

The Vortex Viper is a great option for that budget range.

I have a Vortex 2-7X32 Viper with a custom turret for my new 6.8 and it's very nice for only $169 from SWFA. I bought the custom turret for my SSA 115 otm's from Vortex.

you won't be sorry, the viper 2-7x32 is light, crystal clear, nice positive clicks, and an incredible buy at 169 at swfa.  I have one of the 2-7s on my 6.8 and it's the perfect scope for that particular caliber imho.
