I was at a gunshow yesterday and noticed several scopes in the $50 - $80 price range. Most were made in China, but a few were made in Europe (probably Russia). One pattern was a shorty armored scope with "dual color" illuminated reticle. Another was a colt pattern, smooth tube, either with or without bdc feature.

For general at the range plinking out to about 250 yds, are these scopes serviceable? I just can't put the money into something like an ACOG at this time, but could afford something under $100.

What are this group's thoughts on the best AR handle mount scope under $100??

Thanks!

For the most part, "good" and "inexpensive" are not something you will find in the same optic. As with many things, you get what you pay for.

I tend to agree.  For under $100, I'd find the best iron sights I could and use those.

OK, I give up. Thanks for the advice. Iron sights it is.
