I recently put a Magpul MOE carbine length handguard on my rifle. I also got the MOE vertical grip that attaches to the handguard without a rail section (MVG I think). I want to mount a bipod on the rifle as well. I prefer to have the vertical grip in the center of the handguard. If I mount the grip in the center slot there isn't enough room forward of the grip to mount the Harris bipod I have because the hand guard is so short and the base of the bipod is too large.

So my question is: Does anyone out there know of a bipod brand that has a much smaller base than the Harris and attaches to a sling swivel stud like the Harris pods do? Thanks in advance for any advice offered.

Check out the Versa-pod adapters.   You might be able to find something that works.

I also have a Magpul MOE handguard and MVG vertical forward grip on one of my AR carbines, I have not and probably won't install a bipod on my noted carbine.

But if I have to I would just install a Magpul polymer (or aluminum) long bottom Picatinny rail section at the bottom and when I use a bipod with Picatinny rail mount, I won't use my vertical forward grip (I would not install it same time as the bipod), instead I would just use one of the leg of the bipod closest to my support hand.

I would also probably get a Magpul RVG rail vertical grip or another type of vertical grip with quick detachable mount, so I could install it quicker.
