I'm looking for a new scope for target shooting. I'm considering these three:

Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30X50 mm
Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20X50 mm
Leupold VX-III 8.5-25x50 mm

I'm particularly interested in hearing about the 6500. I'm confident that I can find a Leupold and a Zeiss in town.

I'm open to other suggestions, but the Zeiss is at the top of my budget.

From what I have read on the 6500, their main drawback is lack of range in windage/elevation adjustment.  I think for the model you listed, you only get 40 or 50 moa, which isn't so hot unless you are shooting a really flat-shooting cartridge or at close ranges.  I guess, you could hold over with the mildots, but who wants to do that?

Of the three, I would go with whichever has the most adjustment for windage/elevation, assuming all are competitively priced.
