I have 11500 rounds of XM193, 4500 rounds of Q3131 and 6500 rounds of M855. Since ammo is not getting cheaper I have been stock piling so much a month while its still affordable, what I'm wondering is should I order more M855 to take it out to a even 10000 rounds or keep concentrating on the M193 while its available? I like the Q3131 but it seems to be gone for the time being. I know to some this is enough and to others not close enough.  For my general shooting I just pick up USA223 so as to not hit my stock pile as to who knows what next year or the year after that has in store for us.
My plan was to have 10000 of each type on hand but with the price increases I'm wondering if one type is the way to?  For SHTF this may or may not be enough.  For defense rounds I have been buying TAP and M262 when available.  Basically I wont concentrate on it as I usually buy all I find when I see it and its generally ran in my MRP and SPR.  Help me out here with some input thanks,
Mike

I'd go with 193 myself, as it seems to be the best all around ammo.  Or just aim for 20K of all three types

I would go for XM193 because I think it's going to be almost imposable to fine in the near future.  I think the Q3131 will be around for awhile.  There are 3 vendors in the ammo price list that have XM193 and 3 that have Q3131.  Every one seems to have at least one brand of M855.
My stash is very close to your #s for XM193 and Q3131.  I also have about 14K of M855 and I now wish I had less M855 and more XM193.   I bought a load of AE223 for the range so I would not have to dip into my stash.  Just my .02

I'd get more Q3131A, Q3131 (post-2005 US manufacture) and XM193 over M855 stuff (and in that order).

Were kinda on the same playing field, I was going to go up to 10,000 M855 just because but keep buying 193, I have not seen any Q3131A  just  Q3131 I'm not sure when my stash was made as it goes straight into my container. I do plan on saving my stash,  On a side note what is enough?  I mean you get to a point where you cant carry it or move it what then?
Thanks

you need to start stock piling wolf

I'd go for the m855 to even 10K

then head back to the Q for 10K
then go to the M193 for 15K

OK, I have to say it, you need 87,000 rounds total!!!  Seriously though, I have 1K XM193, 1K Q3131, 1680 M855, 1680 WWB, 1500 or so FAE223, etc.  7500 or more total is all.  I wanted to get to 10K total which is not near what you have, but I stopped to re-evaluate and am asking the same question you are, but with a smaller stockpile.  Good question, thanks.  I'm thinking more 193, but then I wonder if I need it or just want it...

Seriously?  You need to stock up on cheap blasting ammo.  You have plenty of good stuff.

I'd be ordering a ton of Wolf, or Southern Ammo stuff, for practice and blasting, so you dont have to shoot your good stock up.  Who knows how long the prices and availability on that stuff will be?

I buy my shooting stuff before I go shooting what evers cheap and good I think I picked up about 2500 or so rounds USA223 for 4.00 a box last weekend just to shoot.  My reserves are in case of Zombies or SHTF. Now I'm looking at a Dillon 650 off of a frend of mine set up with everything and start loading my next days shoot? I see Ammoman is out of 193 so its either Mirage for 193 or balance out 855 from Ammoman.  Also working on M262 and TAP 5.56

I ask myself (what if enough) all the time.  I don't plan on carrying it anywhere.  My main concern is a disruption in the supply.  I enjoy shooting and being prepared but it's a hobby too.  It's like  the day after you buy a boat you start thinking about a bigger boat.  Same with ammo.  There is always something different you want and you want it in quantity.  As FALARAK said, you have a good stash and need blasting ammo.  I have the feeling your ammo is stored well so it will last a lifetime.  Now go out tomorrow and find another 5k of Q3131 and report back

How about a Dillon 550b or 650.

96 lbs of AA2230C from PV - $840
25k CCI #41 from HiTech - $400
25k Pulled Bullets from Pats - $700

You've already got the brass.

I'm stocking up on the 193 spec ammo, it'll be around but I doubt that a lower supply will make prices drop. Thats contrary to the laws of supply and demand.

I'd get 193 first myself then go on to 855 ammo.
