I have an M952p.  I want to change it to a tape switch.  What parts do I need?  What's a reasonable price?  Surefire's web site is flashy, but difficult for me to use or follow.  And their prices seem ... high.

Don't know the answer to your question, but whatever you do, DON'T BUY OFF THE SUREFIRE WEBSITE!!!  The prices there are the highest you'll find anywhere.  Try sableco instead.

The tape switches come in different lengths of cable...

UU05
UU06
UU07
UU10
UU14

UUxx is for the Millennium Series.

xx being the length in inches of the cable.

I hope this helps. Any Dealer should be able to get you the switch you are after. It is worth going to a big name in the WeaponLight Dealership because they are more likely to have a clue about what you're talking about.

Each of these switches is hand-made in America (I toured the factory in Cali) - I understand now why they are expensive - I didn't realise that so much time and effort goes into each one!

Maybe.
What parts are we swapping?
It's at home, so I don't have it in hand to look at.
I agree in principal.

Hit a speedbump, need more help.
Lumpy and I may have different "generations" of light, and the tailcaps may not be compatable.  Does anyone have info on this?

If you have a Millennium Universal WeaponLight and he has a Millennium Universal WeaponLight then the swap is simple.

If are a trying to swap parts between the Classic WeaponLights and the Millennium Universal WeaponLights then apart from looking strange, they still should be interchangeable.

I'll see if I can find photos.

Hmmmm....
If the swap doesn't go, do I need to buy a whole new tail cap, or can I buy the tape switch and replace the button?
