I had my stock Colt 9mm out today and started getting many light strikes. I  must correct myself, I did change the charging handle to a BCM Mod4
but everything else is the same. The ammo was Federal bulk which has never given me a problem. When I got home, I broke down the bolt and the
firing pin and channel are clean as a whistle. What's up?

Is your hammer spring installed correctly? Easy and common mistake to install it backwards.  It still works but doesn't have as much force.
I know a guy that recently discovered his hammer spring was installed backwards for the last 3 years...

I'd hate to think it came from the factory that way but I'll have a look. Thanks.
