Here are a couple pictures of my uppers, the dissipator is sold now but this will give you an idea of the side view. From the end there is one larger center hole with six symetrical evenly spaced holes. I think it works wonders on my 20" barrels after shooting it with the A2. I can shoot mine without plugs pretty comfortably. If you want to quiet down your AR and don't want to have to spend an arm and a leg for a KX3, get the Levang and you won't be disappointed.
