Hello All,

I am interested in putting a scope on my flattop. Will only be used for paper at this time.
I have narrowed it down to a Leupold VX-II in 3x9x40.

Got a couple questions:

Will this scope fit correctly and still have room for my Arms 40 BUIS?
What rings would I need to set it up right? How high?
Who’s got the best prices/service for this scope?

If anyone has pics of one mounted I’d like to see it.

Thanks in advance

I would go with high rings with the Arms unless it is a Low profile 40L. And if you want some turrets for the scope you can find some made by Stoneypoint.Cabelas sells then for 60 a pair if you want the tactical look . Check out HERE They will bet anybodys price for scopes. I just looked at my gun and I have the Sir sytem on my gun and it has riser rail built in, so U might want to look in to trading your 40 for a 40L. Maybe someone else has a set up that you are looking for. Here is apic of my set ups.

Thanks Bookhound

Throw lever rings would be what I want. And I know Larue's reputation for quality.

Thanks again.

They are some of the Best(Larue) but U better check the height of your BUIS with the eyepiese of your scope to clear it. All my scope rings are high Arms #22 and you can see in my pick there is not much room with the Arms 40 BUT the 40 L would work with high rings and just the flatop of the gun. Anyway let us see your gun when it is DONE.

What mount are you using?

what reticle do you have in the scope?

Thanks to everyone.

It's a B Square mount and the reticle is the fine duplex

Thanks to all for good information.

Nice to have this kind of input before making a purchase, cuts way down on buying something you might regret later.

Thanks again,
