Leupold European Scopes Question:

I noticed they have 30mm tubes, but how is the glass?

Priced less than a VXIII so I am guessing they aren't as good as a VXIII?

I was recently looking at those as well, but I had a problem with everything being set up for the metric system....click windage and elevation adjustments are metric: 1 click = 1 cm at 100 m.

However for me, this being a hunting scope....I basically sight in & forget anyway....

I've heard that they are basically just a VX-II with a 30 mm tube and metric adjustments.

Based on the specs, that sounds right - the Euro has Multicoat 4, as does the VX-II, while the VX-III has their Index Matched coating.  The zoom/lens combinations match up with the VX-II series better, too.

It's got a pretty basic selection of reticles (duplex and German #4), and hunter-style windage/elevation.  Doesn't sound like there's much to offer the non-metric shooter.
