What kind of accuracy are you getting?

BCM 18" SS410 with Federal 77gr SMK's shot a 11rd group around .707". This was fired prone so, if you fired from a benchrest and handloaded, it would really treat you right.

Outstanding, have you tried any other ammo? I'm a fan of the 62gr. Fusion.

I've tried 50's, 55's, 69's, 75's and 77's. It did really well with 75gr TAP, however, the 69gr SMK's were not far behind.

I have not tried any 62gr as of yet. Might need to try 'em though.

I am building a precision AR-15 and already have most of the parts just waiting on a few more. But i still need a barrel. Can anyone help me find a 20 inch, chrome, sand/bead blasted barrel to give it the matte look along with including precision. Thank-you so much I have yet to find one! BTW I want it to look like this barrel ----> http://www.shootingillustrated.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/DPMS-Tactical-Precision-Rifle.jpg

I was not impressed with the accuracy of my BCM SS410 18" barrel. I replaced it with a Douglas from CLE and groups shrank in half.

try the rainier ss 18" as these have given stellar results to people around here, myself included

I'd second Compass Lake Engineering (CLE) as well.
I had them build me a high power service rifle with a Kreiger barrel, it was the most accurate rifle I have ever owned....by far.

Throwing another option out here->

And I do have this barrel from this vendor.

That is an impressive picture! What was the distance? And what optic do you use?

My BCM SS barrel did not shoot as well as the one secretwheelman has.  It was OK, but I had better results with Krieger, Fulton/Critereon and Rainier Match barrels (all of which had 223 or Wylde chambers versus 5.56 for the BCM).

Ok good 100 yards. I'm even more impressed. I've never gotten anywhere near that kind of group. And tbh I don't think I ever will! Although I plan on building a 20inch with that scope as well!

I'm pretty sure criterion makes all the SS410 barrels.

It has been speculated for quite some time, some claim Criterion, others Douglas. BCM ain't tellin' so it remains a mystery.

I have one of their BCM 16" Middy muppers with the SS410 barrel and it is excellent. Can't go wrong with it.
