So, post #1.
I got this AR in trade from a buddy. Its my first.
Armalite M15A2 lower, but thats all I can positively ID. I'm sure they are total newbie questions, but how do you ID a barrel and upper? I can't seem to find any maker marks on either.
Pretty happy with its performance, put a couple hundred rounds through it the other day, shoots sub-MOA with Federal match ammo.
Zeiss Diavari 3x9 on it, nice and clear.
All in all, I'm really quite pleased.
Sorry if the pic dont work, still working on it.
Anyway, it seems like there are a bunch of threads for carbines and such, lets see the long barrel ARs!http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0TAAAAMAW!F*o9Qdw3Oe!dr1KQFimL0muZEYaqaxFfOGJb130*4HiEds1UgvaDZP7Bh0xRnq8F46VejacMmBPC2oBynOJoNJ8qDTPBROKpV2CREYKpsV6vw/ar%20020.jpg?dc=4675542065556106917

Does it have anything stamped into the barrel in front of the front site post?

BTW, I only have 2 20" rifles, nothing longer than that.

EDIT: Pics.

20" that wants to be a carbine so bad

And your run-of-the-mill standard A4 HBAR

24 inches +. Yes it is a AK brake but this gun shoots on the 500 yard line so not too much shooting going on at once. LOL
