It spends more time on my littler 12.5" due to its ear popping loudness but works very well on the SPR too ![]() Great fit and finish and I like the blackout FH mounts alot. They work great assuming you can get past the tuning fork noise |

I love how many of you guys have full length 12 or 13" rails for absolutely no reason.
It's the kind of thing that looks really cool, until you discover they suck to hold on to and there are lighter solutions out there. I have a full 9" rail on my midlength and unless I absolutely NEED it again, it's going to be a minimal hand guard with rail inserts. Just my opinion, ymmv. |

I did it specifically because I like how it looks. Between the light weight Troy TRX I used and the fact that I don't take it out as often as the others I wasn't worried about a few extra ounces. I like my rifles to look nice (at least to me) as well as perform. |

There is a TON of valid reasons why long rails are used.....you obviously do not shoot with a bipod on a precision type weapon because the further you put the bipod the better results you achieve from it. Precision guns use long rails to protect the barrel from being knocked around and hit on objects. Another reason as noted is that you need the real estate to run a UNS or similar NV unit as well as an IR unit most likely. The extra few inches of aluminum and the weight of it does not nearly take away the HUGE benefits you receive from them. The last reason they are on these guns in this thread is for looks. Its your opinion but its incredibly uninformed ![]() |

To me anyway. Pic thread; http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm292/ratfink57/At%20The%20Range/DSCF1404.jpg Not to mention you leave your gas tube exposed when we're talking about a rifle length system. Not a good decision in me opinion. You could use something like a DPMS solid free float tube but it leaves you no options to change, and being human, change always happens. ![]() No fuss, it's all good, because we live in a place where we can have these kinds of discussions and disagreements. ![]() God Bless Brothers. Hornady 75gr Match OTM
23.5 grains Varget OAL: 2.235" LIGHT CRIMP Primer CCI 41 The light cimp also seems to be the one thing that makes this so accurrate. It also eliminates another issue i was having with fliers, where every group i shot I would have 4 shots touching and a fifth almost an inch away. I'm not the only one who has had this load work in a lothar walthar barrelled upper. |
