Ok, So I currently live in a Class III unfriendly state...However, I don't think I'll be living in RI forever. I'm thinking that I would like to get one of my post ban barrels changed over to a "No Ban" bbl. I'm also thinking that I would like the muzzle break taken off and a Gem-Tech quick detach A2 f/s put on. The bbl is a 14.5" M4 profile so I would have to get it perm-atached. You know the ones that are made for their cans. Is there anything could be a problem with doing such a thing? Thanks!

No. The QD would be ok. But you just cant have the can in that state. Look at the 14.5" with a perm installed Phantom or Vortex.. They do a great job at taming flash. And you make it to your 16" min. bbl. length. That QD wont do much for flash, plus you'd come up too short on bbl. length...You would end up with an SBR.

Edited to add.. Move to Nebraska!!

So, the Gem-tech hider is will make the bbl less than 16.1"...well that sucks, what about the AAC one? Thanks!!

Gemtech bilock will make your barrel 16". Just let them know that's what you want and they will add enough peel washer to get it legal. Also, they laser weld the pin to reduce possible heat damage to the barrel crown and FH.

Don't know where the other guys got their info; I've had 3 bilocks put on 14.5 barrels by Doc Dater and they measure up just fine.
