What advantages does the OTAL have over the AR-2? And why is the OTAL more expensive? Thanks.

The OTAL has a 3 postion switch, with off postion, momentary pressure pad and a constant on postion. The OTAL can be mounted on any milspec rail.

The AR-2 only has the momentary pressure pad and must be mounted on the Front sight post of the AR15/M16 rifle.

I think the spec for the laser diodes are the same, just a little more options with the ITAL and OTAL.

Ok thanks. I like the idea of the AR-2 b/c of it's vertical deviation from the boreline (easier for me to deal with than the horizontal deviation of the OTAL). But I'm undecided if I want a flip up front sight so I think the OTAL is the way to go. Also, it just looks cooler!
