Pardon me for asking if this has already been asked.  I did a search but came up with nothing.

I'm thinking of getting one of these units,  I like the chevron reticule alot on my TA31F and want to try out a 1X version in lieu of another Aimpoint.

I notice ARMS had to make a new ring similar to the 22M68  to accomodate the TX30.  I do not plan on using an ARMS mount.  Does the existing series of Larue 30mm rings for the Aimpoint work for the Tripower?

It should. Its a 30mm ring. And the way they're built it should clear any bumps or protrusions on the tri-power. Call LaRue and ask him. I'm sure he'll tell you all you want to know.

I gave my friend a standard height LaRue Aimpoint mount, it works.  The TX30 came with an aluminum low mount that's no good unless you put it on the hump of a RASII or a riser, or any rail handguards that have rails extending over the upper receiver.
