I shoot nose to charging handle. The SS has what I think is very short eye relief. Anyone know if the Larue SPR mount will put the scope far enough forward?

I thought I had seen a photo of this setup, but I cant find it now.

I am limited to the rails on the upper, as I only have a non railed FF tube.

Thanks
Oz

ozarak

I bought the SS 10X42M (4.0" eye relief) in the group buy and mounted it in the LaRue LT139 SPR-E 30MM. I have the scope centered in the mount and have it located it all the way forward on the receiver. I shoot with my nose to the charging handle and this setup works well for me.
The SWFA site shows the SS 16X42 has an eye relief of 3.75" so I suppose you could use the SPR-E and move it farther back if necessary.

Here is a thead with some pictures of various mounts with the Super Sniper.

hope this helps.
