LaRue low-mount for Aimpoint??

OK, Here's what I am trying to do:

Ultimak rail for both an Arsenal SA-M7 and a Ruger AC5566 shorty. I'd like a reddot optic that mounts low and forward on this scout rail. My EOtech 551 is a bit high, and forget my M2/ARMS spacer combo - way high.

Haven't bought any LaRue gear yet, although all the rants on this board have me interested. I know the opinions are very high on the LaRue high-mount for the M2. Anybody have opinions on the low-mount?? How low is low?? Any pics of one mounted up??

You know that you can take the spacer out of the M2/#22M68 setup right? The LT low mount is just the same as the standard Aimpoint mount, but lower. It was designed to work with the RAS II and or the ARMS SIR...

Grant,

I know I can take the spacer out, but then I wouldn't have an optic for one of my ARs. I generally like to have a dedicated optic for my shooter semis and MGs. Therefore I was thinking about another M2 and mount for the AK and another for the AC556.

Roger. Then the LT low Aimpoint mount will work very well for you...
