I have several of their lever-style QD mounts, but have some interest in the new VFZ-style mount for a project.

Does anyone have any experience with this mount?

From the LaRue website:

About VFZ Mounts:

VFZ is a new theory in the concept of clamping accessories to
MIL-STD-1913 rails. Instead of using a horizontal cross-bolt, the VFZ
uses a vertical bolt that draws up a clamping foot against the lower
angle of the rail, seating the mount similarly to a fully-closed LaRue
lever.

Once installed on the firearm, index marks allow the user
to remove the mount, then reattach to the same tension, providing
unprecedented return to zero for a non-QD-levered mount. The unique
vertical alignment of the clamp allows components that are structurally
stronger than traditional cross-bolt designs.

I have an LT-104 with the VFZ option as well as another LT-104 with the levers.  I do not find any difference in the mount except that you have to tighten it with the wrench that they supply.  I figure that I am not taking the scope off my rifle so why spend the extra $50 on levers?  The indexing marks work very well as I took the scope off and remounted to check their claim of being near zero when installed.  I have my rifle scope sighted in at 100 yds and when I remounted it it was within 1MOA of where it was before.  In my book, that is pretty darned good.  IMHO, I'd go with the VFZ mounts unless you plan on swapping optics frequently; take the money that you saved and buy more ammo.

There's a page on their industry forum that shows the reviews of the first 11 guys who got to test them out.

I tried the VFZ mount, but don't really care for it. I like the standard levers much better.
