I am looking at getting a LaRue Tactical AR10 13.2 Handguard LT10-13.2 for my DPMS rifle. The number of threads per inch on the barrel nut are different between the ArmaLite (1 7/16 x 18) and DPMS (1 7/16 x 16). Has anyone had a barrel nut manufactured by a company or does anyone here have a company they would recommend manufacturing a barrel nut? I figure I would buy the handguard and send the supplied barrel nut to the manufacturing company to duplicate with 1 7/16 x 16 threads.

why dont you call larue or post in the industry forum and see if they can help you....

I already contacted LaRue and asked if they could ship the hanguard with a barrel nut with no threads so I could get it threaded with the proper threads. They told me no that they did no specialty orders which I have to respect. I want this rail due to the length.

and it has to be 13.2? Troy and DD both make rails that are 13''+

I believe the largest rail that DD makes for an LR-308 is 12 inch. If you know of a DD rail over 13 inches that fits a DPMS style barrel nut please give me the specific model. I also believe that Troy makes a 13.8 inch rail. I want a rail atleast 13 inches to cover the gas tube. So as far as I know the Troy and LaRue rails are the only option. I have a LaRue on my AR-15 and love it so I was looking forward to LaRue.

Daniel Defense makes a 14" rail for the .308's.

You're correct about the Troy rail length, 13.8". It's the MRF-308 model; got it on mine and love it.
