Look for a CETME rifle.

I don't know what you would consider cheap, but one of the best buys I think is the DSA STG 58. I had one once and it was a reliable rifle.

DSA's are very nice. Probley one of the better ways to go.
But if you want a cheap kit built type rifle look on GunBroker there probley a few on there. |

umm, a Cetme is not a FAL clone. A Cetme is a cousin or ancester(depends on whos history you read) to the HK G3 rifle. Different flavor of .308 MBR. |
