LMT builds a high quality weapon, but I don't think their QC is quite as strict as Colt.  There were some issues awhile ago where some people had problems.  While I don't worship at the altar of Colt, I do believe they have a solid product due in part to the continual QC checks.

I've heard of no recent complaints, and many people felt that LMT was going through growing pains when  the issues had cropped up.
