Is the LMT 5.56 enhanced carrier group worth the $250+?????

Looks like all it buys you is some sand cuts for the barrel extension and better extraction (dual Extractor springs), and it says the carrier is modified for smoother operation.
I would say just buy the standard LMT BCG. RainerArms.com has them in stock and it took them about 3 days to get it to me.
the LMT carrier group also came with one of those crane O rings on the extractor.

It does more than that.

It makes dwell time longer. This causes the pressure in the barrel to be much more conducive for proper functionality.

It is designed for midlength gas systems on 16" or longer barrels.

Is it worth it? That is up to you. There are lots of guns on here that dont run them, but run damn near flawlessly. There are some guns that run them that run flawlessly. It will really depend on what the gun you are thinking about it for is.

I have a RRA 14.5 lightweight carbine barrel. i guess what im asking is in this barrel will it run BETTER than the standard LMT carrier group? The difference is $150. Not that im worried about price, I just dont want to waste money where it is not needed.

**UPDATED** I guess I should learn to read SLOWER Thanks AR15Barrels!
